But on Android, MAC addresses can and do change, and every Android device has at least two at any given moment: the hardware MAC and the virtual MAC address. And unlike IP addresses, MAC addresses don’t change - at least not usually. One of the most well-known options is the device’s Wi-Fi MAC address, because it is reported at the network level, and can therefore be identified by anyone with sufficient permissions on the network.
